Somehow, took a virus and components of the remedy. I will not pay for virus detection, and surf is not part of the virus on the Internet, and before I knew it, its here on my desk. Can you help me?

Try a online antivirus scanner and scanner online anti-adware/malware/spyware in Safe mode with network to clean your computer before downloading anything. This is because the program that you can download to be infected.
Disable System Restore in Windows Me and XP, then restart your PC to your system restore points for viruses, spyware, adware, clean, etc.
Now reboot into Safe Mode.
In order to secure mode, press F8 during boot.
Select "Safe mode with network support".
Go to Start - Run - type iexplore http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html Enter (OK).
Make a full system scan. If something is found, delete, reboot and do the same in Safe mode with network support.
If this analysis does not find what you restart in Safe mode with network support.
Go to Start - Run - type http://www.ewido.net/en/ iexplore you enter (OK).
Make a full system scan. If something is found, delete, reboot and do the same in Safe mode with network support.
** Note: Do not do anything else with your computer during the scan. JuThen you can start virus / adware, spyware / malware manually.
If any of these scanners everything that you can start to show again in the normal mode.
Turn in "System Restore".
